On June 02, we had the privilege of hosting an inspiring, women-only gathering that brought together creative women leading the way in digital innovation and business. Co-organized by Astaan Media and SIMAD iLab. This event was a meaningful celebration of ambition, creativity, and resilience. It provided a unique platform for established entrepreneurs, digital leaders, and aspiring women in tech to connect, share their stories, and support one another in shaping a brighter future.

Adding a special dimension to the event were the 24 stars of the popular Magool Challenge reality show who joined us to share their journeys in video production and digital storytelling.

Why This Event Was Important?

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, women continue to face barriers in business and technology sectors. This event was intentionally designed as a safe and empowering space exclusively for women—encouraging open conversations about challenges, successes, and opportunities. It highlighted the critical role women play as innovators and leaders, driving Somalia’s digital transformation forward. By bringing together a diverse group of women—from seasoned professionals to emerging digital talents—the event fostered mentorship, collaboration, and inspiration that will resonate well beyond the day.

Panel One: The Power of Multimedia in a Competitive Market

The event began with a thoughtful panel discussion moderated by Sagal Ali, featuring:

To spark creativity and inspiration among attendees, several videos from the popular Magool Challenge reality show were featured and watched during the event. In the second session, moderated by Faiza Ugaas, the spotlight turned to the Magool Challenge stars—Hodan Abdullahi, Nuura Iiman, and Ismahan Khaliil.
